Position – SAP ABAP Developer

Job Description –
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance ABAP programs and interfaces using ABAP programming language and SAP development tools.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Debug, test, and troubleshoot ABAP code to identify and fix issues and defects. - Optimize performance of ABAP programs and interfaces to ensure efficient system performance.
- Perform unit testing and support system testing to ensure the quality and reliability of ABAP code.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, including technical designs, coding standards, and development best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of ABAP programs and interfaces with other SAP modules and external systems.
- Provide technical support and resolve production issues related to ABAP programs and interfaces in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP ABAP development tools, technologies, and best practices, and share knowledge with team members.
- Adhere to coding standards, development methodologies, and change management processes to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong experience in SAP ABAP development, including ABAP programming language, ABAP objects, and SAP development tools such as ABAP Workbench and Eclipse.
- Knowledge of SAP modules such as FI/CO, SD, MM, or HR, and their integration with ABAP programs and interfaces.
- Proficiency in debugging, testing, and troubleshooting ABAP code.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and fix issues in ABAP code.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for ABAP programs and interfaces.
- Familiarity with coding standards, development methodologies, and change management processes in SAP development environment.
- SAP certification in ABAP development (optional but preferred).
- Experience in working with Web services, OData services, and other integration technologies in SAP ABAP (optional but preferred).
